Via NC, a long read about a very smart guy who got conned because no one taught him how to see a con coming a mile off. But that's not the kicker. The kicker is that Harvard, home to the worst misogynists on earth, has suspended the victim while the predatory con artists live in his home as a Title IX investigation drags out.

Reminiscent of how 'white rights' folks used the courts to pervert Civil Rights legislation. Sloppy laws and rules invite mischief.

No elder care for student loans! I would be one of these debtors had I not borrowed against an inheritance I was lucky to have. Because I did, my life returned to 'normal' and I stopped getting weekly threatening phone calls. It would be nice if Saturday Night Live's Xmas show included a Scrooge skit with Ebenezer Biden revisiting his past....

The math on that link is seriously messed up, btw. Their debt is more like $101 billion, not $83 million.
